Where are you located? Do you offer local pickup?
Our workshop is located in Wisconsin. We do offer local pickup! If you are located in or around the Arlington, Wisconsin area, you can pickup your order when it is ready.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Because every product we sell is made to order, your order will be cut, painted and shipped as soon as possible. All orders are produced in the order they are received - there are no additional delays for orders purchased during a sale. Current production time for new orders is 5-10 business days.
What materials do you use to create your products?
All of our laser products are made with B/BB grade 1/8" and 1/4" Baltic Birch. This means the face (front) of your product will be free of major defects with the back possibly having a few color-matched patches or plugs. All wood is unique and can cut or etch differently from piece to piece. Therefore, there may be slight variations or imperfections from product to product.
If I buy a blank that is 12”, what does that mean?
Our blanks are measured according to the longest side of the blank. If the shape is taller than it is wide, the measurement will be the height of the blank. If the shape is wider than it is tall, the measurement will be the width of the blank.

Can I use your photos to advertise?
We do not allow the use of our photos to advertise or promote sales of your products or workshops. We encourage anyone offering our products to paint their own examples or take their own pictures of the product after they order.
Do you offer custom custom shapes?
Yes! We can cut a variety of shapes and sizes - not just what's listed on our website. Feel free to email your idea or picture to info@saltydogmercantile.com to see if we can help create your vision. Additional fees and minimums may apply. Custom products are not eligible for discounts (including wholesale pricing).

Life in WIsconsin took us from the city to the farm. Embracing our new normal, my passion for animals lead me to embrace the farm life and these nutty goats joined our pack. As our family grew bigger, so did our hearts, dreams and ambitions.
GOT MILK?
After almost 10 years in Veterinary Medicine, home DIY projects were consuming my mind. Let's be honest, I became OBSESSED. In 2019 I quit my job and opened my Etsy shop, Rusty Red Rooster Decor. After 2 years of product research and development and a few bestsellers, I realized this side hustle was exactly what I was missing. This businesses relieves the creative itch that my corporate job lacks and allows me to care for my animals the way they deserve.
BALANCING ACT
After a few years on Etsy, juggling farm life and a corporate job, I was still looking for more. Because who doesn't want more stress? As of 2023, our products are now sold locally in 5 Wisconsin retail shops. As Salty Dog Mercantile evolves, we are happy to say that we are continuing to test our limits, and our sanity, by bringing you the most unique products with an edgy flare.
